Virtual Gateless Writing Salons
For the helpers, healers, and caregivers.
The calls that stay with you. The patients you can’t forget. The scenes you can’t unsee. The family you’re holding together while you fall apart.
This is your hour to let it go — and throw it on the burn pile.
Write. Release. Remember who you are.
Pull up a chair and have a seat at The Table.
Stories from the Burn Pile
A free 4-part audio series for first responders, healthcare workers, caregivers, and humans who hold everyone else together.
Real, raw, sometimes funny, always human — these short stories will remind you that what you carry can be transformed when you let it breathe.

Welcome…
After 24 years in the fire service, I stepped away from a role that had shaped my identity, my nervous system, and the way I moved through the world.
What I didn’t expect was how hard it would be to integrate back into life without the Battalion Chief label — or how much of the job I was still carrying in my body long after the tones stopped.
Like many helpers and caregivers, I spent years being strong, fixing, and putting my needs on hold.
Retirement cracked that wide open.
In 2021, I gave a TEDx talk about authenticity, disruption, and reclaiming the fire inside you. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that talk became a love letter from past me to future me — a reminder to get out of the box and drop labels.
The post fire service journey has led me to create The Table — a space where helpers, healers, and givers can sit, reflect, and restore through story.
